Seminar on Computer Graphics and Visualization
EECS 295

Course Objectives

Topics will include Computer Graphics, Scientific Visualization and Virtual Reality. This seminar will give you the opportunity to present ongoing research and paper/journal publications in your field to your peers. The objective of the course is to foster open information exchange in respect to cutting edge research being performed in EECS, ACE, ICS, at UCI and the research community at large. You will also have the opportunity to practice potential conference talks in front of a friendly audience if you are currently publishing your work.

In addition to student presentations, we will invite external speakers from academia and industry to talk about the state-of-the-art in research & development.

What do you get out of it?
Lots of valuable information and experience about "How to give a technical presentation", how to improve your presentation and communication skills as well as broad exposure to research activities in our field.

Every student is expected and encouraged to actively participate in the discussion of the presented topics. All students in the CGV concentration and members of VIS will be required to attend the seminar.
