Course Overview


Provides the fundamental understanding of mathematical and physical models used in image synthesis applications: geometric models, physics of color image formation, polygon approximations, ray tracing, radiosity and image based modeling and rendering. Topics are taken from advanced research papers in computer graphics, image synthesis, visualization and geometric modeling. Includes discussion of current research in the field.
